The Grand Theft Auto Series is a series of open-world games created by Rockstar Games. The first game was released in October 1997. The second was released in April 1999, the next one was released in June 1999, and the third one was released in October 1999. The next one was the most special of the series as it premiered the beginning of using 3rd person technology for the games. This was Grand Theft Auto III. Following in the 3D universe was Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories. After these games, the all new, HD universe began. It consists of Grand Theft Auto IV, it's DLC's, and the upcoming Grand Theft Auto V. Another GTA, Grand Theft Auto; Chinatown Wars appears to be all the universes combined as it is 2D and 3D but also HD aswell.
