Sacred 3 is a top down hack & slash brawler developed by Keen Games and published by Deep Silver Games. It was released on August 5th 2014 and is available for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC, both for retail and digitally.

Sacred 3 was supposed to come out in 2012 by former publisher Ascaron Entertainment; however they ended up having to sell the Sacred property to Deep Silver which caused Sacred Citadel for the Xbox 360 to be released instead. The game was formally re-announced on May 28th 2014.

Gameplay is significantly different than other Sacred games as critics such as VideoGamer.com and Co-Optimus.com noted. All of the classes are different from Sacred 2 and the game now has online (and offline) co-op. Players now combine their skills in different sets to take down enemies.

Seraphim – guardians of the legendary "Heart of Ancaria" and their sacred bond between its people had kept the land at peace for centuries, but they've since been forgotten. Lord Zane – ruler of the Ashen Empire – allied himself with Demons, striving to open the gates to the underworld. Bound together by the chains of this evil empire, a resistance of Heroes was forged.
Players will need to defeat the oppressive ruler of Ashen Empire, Zane Ashen, and keep him from obtaining a powerful artifact known as the Heart of Ancaria.
