Haha, yeah, maybe just a little bit. Then again, one of the most annoying kids I ever had the unfortunate luck to be in constant close contact with for a time was extremely obsessed with Fast & The Furious 1 when it came out. His other favorite movie of all time was 13 Ghosts, which was equally terrible, so I didn't trust his opinion on F&TF and didn't follow the series, lol. I've considered giving it a chance in more recent times in a similar manner to how I think I should give AKIRA a chance again, though I've been apprehensive specifically because of JUST HOW ANNOYING THAT KID WAS haha. It's like when I stopped watching Ranma ½ specifically because one of my school group friends wouldn't shut up about it for a few years. I am ALL about the Pacific Rim game, though. And the movie, while I'm talking about it.
Sorry about the disappearing for the past few days, I accidentally used my entire bandwidth at home and haven't had the opportunity to get online at work. The monitor system for how much bandwidth has been used is not correct, and goes into "sleep mode" and stops counting up, indicating that you are not using any bandwidth anymore, so I went to bed with it on once or twice. It was completely false and used everything I had available. My home bandwidth ought to be back up on June 1st.
It's fine if you've dissapeared for a little while but not for too long. I have been extremely busy too but for some reason have time for this. Fast & Furious:Showdown was made by Activision so I'm not suprised but I'm the same guy who did not burn their copy of Star Trek. (I rented it. I had an urge, but I resisted it)
Haha, I hear ya. Man, I can't remember the last time I rented a video game, back in the Blockbuster days when renting games was the big thing. Actually, it was the year the Nintendo Virtual Boy came out. I just double checked, and that was 1995. That means I last rented a game when I had recently came into ownership of a Super Nintendo (really my first console I ever owned, since the NES was "shared" between me and my cousins, but stayed at my cousins' house). Jeez, that's forever ago! @_@
I would normally have time for wikia work as my first and foremost activity, but my home bandwidth got used up so it can take like 5 hours to MAYBE load one page. It's terrible. -_- Makes me almost wishing June 1st would come around so I can check the net at home again, but then I remember I don't want to be another year older.
Are you kidding? Five Hours? Well it's two days around the corner so your pain will stop soon.
About the renting thing: There's a BlockBuster about five miles from my house, but the owners are dicks and say they have a movie and they don't. It kind of sucks. I wish you could still rent consoles. I know a few places in Canada do it though.
Haha, yeah, five whole hours when my bandwidth is down. It's far, FAR worse than 56k, especially considering I only do wiki work, really. The first page loads PERFECTLY and fast, but after that it's all snail's pace.
It's totally cool now and running fine at home, but I am still drivint to work and using it here cuz there's a girl I like who stops in around a certain time when she gets off work. That's a good reason to still use work Internet, right? lol...
I'm still very much shocked to know that Blockbusters are still in business in this day in age. Though that doesn't mean I don't want them around (and I tried to apply to one in Anchorage with my best friend before ending up here in Healy).
And Canada is totally a great place to be. Let's all move to Edmonton and rent games and hang out in the Edmonton Mall all day.
PS: It's my birthday! WOO! OK, I'm not that excited about it. I really ought to find a game to play in celebration, though... since I generally refer to birthdays as "Emergence Days", maybe I should pull out Gears of War and play through that again..?
Nice! How old are you? Never heard of Edmonton but looked it up and it sounds amazing. Injustice would be a fine title to get but it's new so it would cost a lot. Batman:Arkham City would be a fine way to celebrate. It's funny because I only got that game because my parents congratulated me on getting an 100% on a hard english test. (I guessed every question) LOL
Haha, well.. I'm fairly old. Let's just say I was raised on the 3rd and 4th Generation consoles. Haha, nice reason to get a game -- I was always actually really good at tests, without ever needing to study. It was just what I excelled at. Unfortunately, I wasn't greatat homework since I think in a sort of roundabout way that the schools were not OK with. So, in other words, even when I would get the right answers in, say, mathematics, I would still get 0s because I didn't do the work in the way they wanted it done. I did it in a manner that took up half of the page per problem.
That sucks. I was having a really really good day today due to me getting good grades, but I really feel that everytime I go to this school it just broaden's the stereotype of snobby rich kids more. Let's just say one of them bullied me severly and they thought they could not get in trouble due to that school ends in four days.
On the flipside in the summer I can do Wikia more and actually be more athletically active because my parents are complaining about that.
E3: Have you heard the E3 news? My favorite trailer was either Dying Light or Sundown Overdrive. You should totally check them out.
Dying Light is made by the same people who made Dead Island but the trailer is amazing so I am excited. Also remember when I had said I was anticipating Remember Me? Well that was flushed down the toilet after the M rating and mixed critic reviews.
Have you heard about Murdered:Soul Suspect? It's a game where you have to solve your own murder made by Square Enix. Now that is original.
I loved Dead Rising's original video; I just wish the game was as epic. I didn't personally play it but I watched it get played for a few hours once, and it seemed pretty cool but not exactly epic. That's unfortunate that you won't get to play Remember Me.
Murdered: Soul Suspect sounds like the plot to I Know Who Killed Me, lol...of course, I never saw that movie so maybe I really don't know what that movie is actually about. Are any of these coming out for the PS4? I unfortunately have been forced to switch back to Sony because of all the horrid issues with the 720. Heck, just the fact that it needs to be online every 24 hours or the system shuts down means I will never get to play it.
Haha, ahhhh... Lindsay Lohan knows who I am, actually. She used to go to clubs my best friend (a semi-famous DJ) was frequenting when he was in, I dunno, LA or somewhere and he always talked about me and she thought I sounded amazing. She was SUPPOSED to come up and star in one of my really terrible B movies, credited as "Bindsay Bohan" and we were going to always deny hands down it was Lohan. She was intended to fly up alongside Scott (that DJ friend o' mine) after his tour down in the states a few years ago, but when Scott flew up here, we were both surprised she didn't show up. We soon figured out why: she went to rehab. True story!
Wait, what's going on with Amanda Bynes? I ignore all newspapers and news channels and celebrity gossip sites/tabloids so only learn it from word-of-mouth.
Well cool, looks like I can get Murdered: Soul Suspect (360 will always remain my favorite system of all time) and Dying Light, at least. But what's horrid about Remember Me? With only 10 gigs of bandwidth shared between two people, I don't get to watch videos very often; I kind of have to pick and choose my vids to watch, and usually they're dedicated to songs to draw to that I haven't found mp3s for yet. NOT THAT I AM A PIRATE, WIELDERS OF THE HANDCUFFS! I, uh, totally only get ?freeware? MP3s. 'Natch.
Amanda Bynes was arrested for smoking pot and then she did all this other bad stuff. I've heard she posted a nude photo of herself on Twitter when she was high and then said she did not take drugs. I don't pay attention to it but I've heard about it countless times on covers of celebrity gossip magazines that I see when I go to the dentist.
Did a little bit of research and sounds like it's all true. Apparently the image in question was accidental nudity and she reuploaded it with a photoshopped blur a few minutes later. I'm really not usually in celebrity lives, except those few I happen to have encountered in my life.
Repetitiveness can really kill gameplay for me, so that's unfortunate. Heck, ever since my old friend Jeff was curious about "what hitting BOTH buttons at the same tiem on the PlayStation 1 multi-page memory card did" and wiped all my saves like a jackgrass (which included ALL of my major RPG saves, all at the end of the game -- Final Fantasy VII, Breath of Fire III, Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete, etc -- plus a looooong ways into Final Fantasy Tactics) I have found myself unable to get past roughly 10 hours in awesome RPGs such as Final Fantasy, because the combat just gets too repetitive for me now. Sucks. Probably a big reason I eventually switched over to FPSes.
The Last of Us also sounds incredible. Too bad I don't own a PlayStation 3...
Ooo, ouch! What happened?? And no worries on the wiki death front—I'm still just warming up before the real serious posting begins, so I have far too much to contribute here to disappear. Heck, I haven't even finished up all the characters, enemies, levels, items and weapons from one game yet, let alone the hundreds I've played in my lifetime! =P
It's fine if you have not edited a lot, I was just a little worried. What happened is that I can't move my neck right or left (and up or down) or it hurts like hell. It's gotten better and I think I've had the proper time to heal. It happened while tripping and not landing in the best position. Also I ordered Mirrors Edge off of Amazon and well I am really anticipating it.
Oh man, that sucks. Tripping, you say it was? Since your mentioning of Mirror's Edge, it makes me wonder if you may have been attempting parkour at the time, hehe. I was into what later came to be known as parkour during my youth, though it was entirely natural since we didn't have Internet or anything and I just wanted to do it on my own, with no knowledge of any other individuals having the desire to do so. Let me know what you think of Mirror's Edge, because I really wanted to buy it when it came out but didn't because it was at the beginning of my "Preorder games or never buy them because you missed out on cool stuff" phase.
In terms of terrible pain, I occasionally wake up where my sternum is in such severe pain that I can't lift my head even any more than an inch off my pillow, let alone the rest of my body. My only solution to that problem is to immediately go back to sleep and hope when I wake up again in 8 or so hours that the pain will have dissipated, which it usually does.
My opinion on Mirrors Edge. This will be a probably very long read by the way. When I originally got it I thought it was worth the wait. Though the levels do start to get way harder with a tremendous difficulty curve and you cant walk an inch with everybody wanting your head on a silver platter. However the moments when you are running around freely with no distractions are the meat of the game but those are too far and few between. The combat is god-awful and the only way I could kill enimies with out nearly dying was dick punches. I do give props to how the game looks and the feeling of the guns compared to COD. It feels very realistic and is the only game I have played where I feel like a real person. I would buy the sequel when it comes out because that seems more fleshed out than this but if you want a better backstory get it.
Sounds unfortunate that you don't get to spend more time enjoying the beauty of it all. Isn't the sequel supposed to be coming out soon or something? I've been so out of the loop for so long, chances are it came out like 4 years ago and I never heard, haha.
I thought the game was good don't worry about that. Just was pissed that I had a 2 week wait for it only to finish it within three days. And yes the sequel is supposed to be open world. Too bad my Xbox Live is not working so I can't buy the DLC. That looks awesome.
Haha, well remember that I've already been without Xbox LIVE for 7 months... and that all of my friends are fierce jagoffs who refuse to let me use their connection to download something so I can play my games, even though they KNOW that was the entire reason I just drove five hours (one way!) to visit them.
I just came out of Pacific Rim. Have you seen it? Do you see movies often? I usually do and this was pretty good. Now I have to stay up all night doing my blog. Was supposed to do five posts but procrastinated. This is feeling like college.
I love movies, but unfortunately I now live 110 miles from the closest city with an theatre auditorium, and the closest place to buy DVDs. I also only 20 gigs a month of bandwidth, so cannot download movies through NetFlix or something. I've gone from "watch every movie that comes out in the $3 theatre AND some specific cool movies in full price theatres" to "never going to see another movie I don't buy from Wal*Mart every few months until at least the end of summer OR possibly forever (or until my 2 year Internet contract ends)". I even missed Jurassic Park in theatres for the SECOND time. I cannot believe I will never get to see it in an auditorium... But I digress: Pacific Rim is one of those movies I would have liked to have seen.
It was pretty good. It did feel like it was too long though. There was one really funny part where the Jaeger's arm went through a building and touched the edge of a cubicle desk. It caused these things http://www.lhup.edu/~dsimanek/scenario/collision-r.jpg to bounce. I don't know if they have a specific name but I found an image of it.
When does your contract end? Some shitty wireless carrier if you ask me.
Been awhile since you last responded. Not trying to butcher you or anything lol. I think if I remember correctly it was Sexual Themes,Suggestive Themes,Language and maybe even nudity.
Lemme talk about my gaming lately if that's fine.
I got Pikmin 3 on launch day and I have been playing it every day I can., It's weird because I imagined I would not really like it since I had never played a Pikmin game before but it's so addictive and I feel like it's my duty to kill those Pikmin. I mean use them as an army. They usually die anyway so whatever. I also got Lost Planet which I played two missions of and got tired of. I found it pretty generic but it was only $3 at Gamestop suprisingly. The mech boss was fun though.
Well shit. This is embarassing. Sorry that I have not gotten ahold of you for so long it's just that my focus on my wiki has drifted away. I probably will try to continue it sometime in the future and it definitely had potential but I'm just too busy and hopefully someone takes the time to take care of it. Thanks and sorry.
